What does it look like to start at CF Alanis?
Step 1: Let’s talk goals!
Come in, check out the gym, and sit down for a chat with one of our professionally-trained coaches. They’ll give you the run-down of what it takes to lose that extra 20 pounds or more. Do you want to build muscle? Look good in a swimsuit? Be able to keep up with the grandkids? We can get you there.
Step 2: Work on the Basics
5 sessions – Group or 1:1
In our Foundations course, your coach will lead you through a series of 5 workouts to learn CrossFit movements. They’re so simple, you probably do them every day – bending over to pick something up, sitting in a chair, going up and down stairs, or holding weight overhead. The workouts build on these movements to maximize your functional fitness.
Step 3: Optional Personal Training
Maybe you want a little more one-on-one time with a trainer to get that extra edge and hit the gas on your progress. Your coach will become your best resource to keep you accountable for daily positive choices that are guaranteed to get you there.
Step 4: Find your Routine
After Foundations, you’ll feel more confident to take classes that fit your schedule. Sign up for unlimited classes and join us for workouts every day of the week. The important thing is to be consistent, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for you!
How often do you recommend I come to the gym?
If you’re just starting up, we recommend coming three days/week for your first couple weeks, then build to four, then five. Once you’re up to five days per week, we recommend building in two recovery days per week.
I’m not in very good shape… can I do this?
Yes! Whether you want to lose weight, or you just completed your 50th marathon, or you’re recovering from injury – if walking the dog is the only exercise you’ve had in years, or you’re training for a powerlifting competition, we will help you achieve your fitness goals. Our methods can be scaled and adjusted to challenge EVERY level of fitness.
One of the things that makes us so unique is our community of people from all walks of life: stay-at-home parents, elite athletes, students, CEOs, members of the armed services, firefighters, you name it. Our bodies come in every size, shape and age. Yet, our daily workouts are designed for anyone to do them.
What will my first time in your gym be like?
If it’s your first time in, we want you to feel comfortable. One of our awesome coaches will give you a tour of the facilities, then we’ll walk through your goals and what you can expect – the workouts, class formats, foundations course, nutrition topics, and any questions you have about getting started.
